Requests for Bid/Quote/Proposal

Many organizations require a formal bid or quote process from multiple vendors, especially for higher value requests. The request may include a combination of stock or non-stock parts, services, or fees. You may begin the process from a requisition or create a request manually. The Requests for Bid/Quote/Proposal screen enables you to view, update, and insert requests for bid, quote, or proposal. You can follow your internal purchasing rules of sending a project or purchase out for vendor bid prior to creating a purchase order from a requisition (request) or response to a request for bid/quote/proposal.

The screen also enables you to enter line items and then associate related work orders, direct issues, attributes, and files with the request. Line items may include, but are not limited to, parts, fees, and commercial work.

Location-level security applies to this screen; go to location level control for more information.
