Special Fee Types |
The Special Fee Types screen enables you to display and define special fee types that can be charged to equipment units. Special fee types are high-level designations of the fee being posted. Fee types include overall registration fees that are derived from multiple fee types assigned using the equipment unit’s registration class, simple fees that are the same for all equipment units regardless of weight or age rules (such as plate replacement fees), and other fees that are calculated based on weight or age rules but are assessed as one fee at a time (such as the IRS heavy use tax).
Some special fee types may only be assessed against specific registration classes. A special fee type may also use a different format to display equipment details on the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Special Fees -> Special Fee – Detail screen.
