Notes |
The Notes tab enables you to view and record notes about a special fee. These notes become a permanent part of the fee's record. Fleet personnel can record investigation notes about discrepancies, or ascertain the progress made toward determining the reason for an exception and the action to clear it. If there are notes associated with a fee, this tab displays in the alert color specified on Preferences -> Color Setup.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can search on special fee ID, equipment ID, special fee type, and status, among other values.
Note: If a record's status is either CANCELED or COMPLETE, certain fields cannot be changed. For more information, refer to the list of fields that cannot be changed on CANCELED or COMPLETE items. Item status is listed on the Status/Other Info tab.
The fields in the top section of this tab define the data that displays.
Special fee unique ID
Automatically populated when a new record is inserted. Display only.
This field shows previous note entries, plus their date and time of creation, and the ID of the employee that created it.
The Add a new note field in the bottom section of this tab is a free-format area for notes, which are optional. Once a note has been entered, it cannot be changed or deleted. The note text automatically includes the creation date and time as well the ID of the employee who created it.
