Subsystem (Equipment Subsystem) |
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Subsystem
Name of the subsystem. This field has a list box. A subsystem could be the body, engine, belts, axles, transmission, or suspension. This subsystem appears in the list box for the Property field on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Equipment Attributes screen.
The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to identify the component, if any, related to the subsystem as well as the properties that the subsystem supports. All fields are optional.

Components are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Components -> Primary Information screen.

The Associated properties screen group in the bottom section of the tab enables you to specify the list of properties supported by the subsystem.

List required
When this option is checked, a list is required to be used for the subsystem information. Users cannot type into this field, but must choose an option from the list. On the Equipment Attributes screen, when the property is set for a line, the custom list type ID rules apply. If this box is checked, data must be entered for the list.
Must match list type
This applies to TEXT attributes only. If this option is checked, then values entered for text attribute data must match an established list type and be in the list. To allow free form data values, leave this option unchecked.
Allow only once
If checked, this subsystem property can only be used once.
Supported in mobile
If checked, this will drive what properties for that subsystem will be downloaded to the mobile device.
