If an equipment unit has a PM program type of NONE, you cannot assign it to a PM work order that is open for a PM service (go to the Task type field on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Primary Information -> Tasks screen). You can, however, perform the following actions:
Assign the equipment unit to a PM work order that is open for an inspection service.
Charge PM work to the equipment unit on repair orders if there is a check (ü) in the Permit PM services on repair orders field on the Options tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Options screen.
