Automated fuel dispensing systems |
FASuite can process transactions generated by many different automated fuel dispensing systems without requiring you to re-key fuel ticket data. Usually you use the fuel dispensing system in operations, and configure it to save a record of each fueling transaction. The record contains the equipment number, the current meter reading of the equipment unit, the fuel pump number, and the number of gallons dispensed.
Whenever appropriate, you can transmit the accumulated fueling transactions (by CD or telephone line) to the computer on which FASuite runs. Once the file resides on that computer, you can use the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Fueling -> Automated Fuel Tickets screen to process the fuel tickets into FASuite without re-keying the data.
NOTE TO NETWORK USERS: Do not download data from your automated fuel system into the same computer file from two or more workstations at the same time. Do not process automated fuel tickets into FASuite from more than one workstation at the same time.
To activate the Automated Fuel Ticket function:
Use the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Fueling -> Setup -> Automated Fuel Systems screen to specify the type of automated fuel dispensing system.
There are three pricing options for use with automated fuel systems.
The record format required by the Automated Fuel Ticket function depends on the type of automated fuel dispensing system installed. You must ensure that the automated fuel dispensing system formats its transactions in the standard format for your system, and not in a customized or modified format.
Each transaction should be terminated by a carriage return (hex 0d) and line feed (hex 0a) characters. All data is stored in ASCII format
For a menu of systems from which you can display explanations, see standard record formats.
