Change the value in the Manage parts ordering and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) values field

To change the value in the Manage parts ordering and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) values field on the General tab of the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen, perform the following steps. Read all the steps carefully before you proceed.

Step 1.   Prepare a report that lists all purchase orders whose order status is OPEN.

Step 2.   Prepare a report that lists all open line items on all purchase orders.

Step 3.   Close all open line items on all purchase orders.

Step 4.    Close all open purchase orders.

Step 5.   If you want to re-enter the closed purchase orders and line items using the same purchase order numbers, delete all of these purchase orders.

Step 6.   Change the setting in the Manage parts ordering and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) values field.

Step 7.   Use the reports you prepared in steps 1 and 2 to re-enter the purchase orders that you closed in step 4 and the open line items that you closed in step 3.
