Comeback |
FASuite identifies a repair as a comeback when the same task is performed twice on the same equipment unit or linear asset during the comeback period interval specified on the Meter Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Class -> Primary Information screen for the equipment class ID for maintenance. When a comeback occurs, staff should investigate for faulty labor or parts or an underlying problem.
FASuite never identifies PM services or inspections as comebacks.
FASuite determines whether a task is a potential comeback when you include it as a task on a work order. A potential comeback arises whenever a task on a work order belongs to the same repair group as a task previously performed on the same equipment unit or linear asset during the comeback period interval.
During work order close processing, FASuite identifies tasks as comebacks and flags them on the TSK_MAIN table. Comebacks are identified whenever there are actual charges (for labor, parts, or commercial work) to a task on a work order and the same task was previously performed on the same equipment unit or linear asset during the comeback period interval.
Equipment class IDs are assigned to equipment units and linear assets on the Classes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen. Whether FASuite checks for potential comebacks based solely on exact task ID is specified on the Options tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Options screen.
