The following codes identify each type of standard. You can specify standards for the following items:
STANDARD: Any repair group
CODE: Two- or three-digit repair group number
STANDARD: Any repair task
CODE: Complete repair task code
STANDARD: Any PM or inspection service
CODE: Letter designating the PM or inspection service
STANDARD: Miles per gallon (fuel)
CODE: MPG
STANDARD: Gallons per hour (fuel)
CODE: GPH
STANDARD: Miles/engine hours per quart (oil)
CODE: MPQ
STANDARD: Total operating cost
CODE: $TO
STANDARD: Total PM cost
CODE: $TP
STANDARD: Total repair cost
CODE: $TR
Note: If you use metric numbers, there are separate standard codes for MPG, GPH, and MPQ.
For any standard, you can make one of three types of entries:
Labor hours only (not appropriate for MPG, GPH, and MPQ or their metric replacements)
A standard value
Labor hours for one execution of the task, parts cost for one execution of the task, and the number of meter units you expect to elapse between performances of the task
To calculate the standard value, the system uses these items together with its own calculation of the current average standard time labor rate. The average labor rate used is one of the following:
Single average rate (if you have elected to charge labor using the single rate)
Average of the standard hourly rates for all employees whose records are marked to indicate that their time is recorded
