Deleting a purchase order |
Before you can delete a purchase order, all line items on the order must be closed.
When you delete a purchase order, how the system handles the data depends on the setting in the Retain previous versions of purchase order information field on the Purchase Orders tab of the Data -> Purchasing -> Setup -> Options screen:
If this field has a check (ΓΌ), the purchase order's complete history is retained and available for viewing. For more information, refer to Changing or deleting purchase orders or line items when retaining previous versions.
If this field is blank, the purchase order and each line item are marked as no longer current and are not listed in the database. No data is physically removed from the database, however.
