How to delete a part from inventory

To delete all inventory data for a part, the Stock Status tab on the Data -> Parts Items -> Primary Information screen must reflect the following conditions, depending on how you manage parts and economic order quantity (EOQ). You may not delete a part that has open line items.

BY LOCATION or ENTERPRISE:

On hand quantity for each location ID must be zero (0).
Quantity on order must be zero (0) at all locations that have a data entry for the part.

CENTRALLY

Quantity on order must be zero (0) at all locations that have a data entry for the part.
On hand quantity must be zero (0) at all locations that have a data entry for the part.

For a list of tables from which the system removes all entries for a part when you delete its inventory data, go to Tables affected by part deletions.

Note: Deletion processing for a part may take several minutes, depending on the number of entries to delete.
