Launch Web Modules from within the system |
Note: Web Modules was previously known as InfoCenter.
To add a Web Modules icon to the toolbar and automatically launch Web Modules from the software:
Step 1. Go to System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Users.
Step 2. Use the filter to locate an existing user.
Step 3. Click
the Prepare for Update button
.
Step 4. In the Web Modules' URL field, type http://MACHINE-NAME/InfoCenter/DesktopDefault.aspx?[FAGUI], where:
MACHINE-NAME is the name of the Web Modules server. Using an IP is not recommended, unless the Web Modules server has a static IP assigned. Ask your system administrator for assistance as needed.
Web Modules is the Web alias that you created.
Note: The URL http://MACHINE-NAME/InfoCenter/DesktopDefault.aspx?[FAGUI] enables users to log in to the Web Modules automatically under the user ID being used in the system. An alternative URL is http://MACHINE-NAME/InfoCenter, which simply launches the Web Modules.
Step 5. Click
the Process button .
Step 6. To activate the new functionality, close and re-open the system GUI.
Step 7. Once
the GUI is restarted, open the Web Modules by clicking the Web Modules
icon .
