Manage parts CENTRALLY |
If the Manage parts ordering and economic order quantity (EOQ) values field on the General tab of the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen specifies CENTRALLY, FASuite sets the following fields centrally for each part and applies the values to all locations at which the part is held in inventory:
Inventory month
Stock status
Preferred vendor ID
Last vendor ID
Last purchase order ID
Last purchase order unit price
Last purchase order date
Preferred repairer
Last repairer (Parts location)
Last repair purchase order ID
Last repair purchase order unit price
Last repair purchase order date
Purchasing notes
Perform EOQ calculation
Reorder point
Reorder quantity
Safety stock level
ABC code
Important Points
Economic order quantity data and calculations are central, covering all the stocking locations
FASuite flags the parts you need to reorder for each location when the total stock level at the location is low. You can, of course, order parts even when current stock level is above the reorder point. You can also use the Data -> Parts Activity -> Stock Transfers screen to move a quantity of a part directly from one location to another.
