Assembly Info |
The Assembly Info tab enables you to specify the number of kits assembled.
The following instructions, which explain how to use this tab, assume that you are familiar with general screen instructions.
Step 1. Use the filter to specify the part ID, part suffix, and location ID of the kit. If you specify a cross-reference part ID that the system cannot find, it searches for and displays the applicable system part ID.
Note: Assembled kits may not contain serialized parts.
Step 2. To display existing information, click the Search or Reload.
Step 3. Select the kit in the grid.
Step 4. To unlock the data from the database, click Edit.
Step 5. In the Quantity of kits assembled field, type an amount.
Step 6. If the kits are to be disassembled, check the Unassemble field.
Step 7. To process the information, click Save.
The updated information appears.
The information in the fields in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays. All fields are display only.
Location ID
Identifier of the location at which the kit is inventoried.
Part ID
Identifier of the part. The ID is associated with the part suffix. The part description displays to the right of the ID.
Part suffix
Number associated with the part in the Part ID field, which distinguishes it from other parts with the same part ID.
Note: Part suffix applies only if the part ID is a valid system part ID.
Data in the bottom section of this tab record the information about the assembly. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Quantity of kits assembled
Number of assembled kits to add to kit inventory. The appropriate quantity of each kit component is deleted from the inventory.
Unassemble
If this field has a check, the quantity of kits specified in the Quantity of kits assembled field is to be broken down into components and removed from the kit's inventory. The value that is removed is based on the kit current price.
