Employment Info

The Employment Info tab enables you to display and record information that relates to the operator’s employment.

Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on operator ID, operator name, department ID, account ID, and e-mail address.

The Primary Information screen supports department-level and location-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.

Tip: If location security is active for user groups and you use the Station location ID field on this tab, you will need to set up appropriate access rights to screen ID 2022 on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Rights Templates -> Location Rights Template screen. If you do not use the Station location ID field, location security does not apply.

Detail View Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Operator ID

Identifier of the operator currently selected in the grid. This field has a list box. The operator name displays to the right of the ID.

Detail View

Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define employment information about the operator. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.

Job title

Operator’s job title. This field is optional.

Occupation

Operator’s occupation. This field has a list box. This field is optional. Occupations are defined on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Employees -> Setup -> Occupations screen.

Department ID

Identifier of the department to which the operator is assigned.

Account ID

Identifier of the general accounting system’s account to which this operator is assigned. The account name displays to the right of the ID.

Note: If there is information in the Assigned equipment ID field, this field must have the same value.
The Edit Criteria - General tab on the Data -> Setup -> Options screen specifies whether this field is required, optional, or not required.
If you change information in this field and there is a check in the Update equipment account ID of all units assigned to an operator when operator account ID changes field on the Operator Assignment tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Options screen, the change is made on the Assignment Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Management -> Assignment History screen.
The account ID must have a status of ACTIVE. Account IDs and their statuses are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Accounts -> Primary Information screen. The Account ID field on the Accounts tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen specifies account IDs for equipment units.

Financial project code

The Financial project code choicelist allows the user to select from active Financial Project Codes or Usage Tickets. Once selected, the description of the chosen code will populate in the description field.

Company ID

Identifier of the company to which the operator is assigned. This field has a list box. The company description displays to the right of the ID.

Company IDs are defined on the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Company Codes screen.

Station location ID

Identifier of the operator’s station location. The location name displays to the right of the ID. This field is optional.

Locations are designated as station locations in the Station field on the Functions tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen.

Work phone

Operator’s telephone number at work. Maximum field length is 30 characters. Optional.

If the optional Motor Pool module is installed and users omit the telephone number when they enter a reservation, this phone number is automatically inserted on the Operator Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Motor Pool -> Motor Pool Center screen.

Mail drop

Internal address at which the operator receives mail at work. This field is optional.

Email address

Operator’s e-mail address. This field is optional.

Employment date

Date (in MM/DD/YYYY format) that the operator began employment at the company. It must be the current system date or earlier. This field is optional.

Termination date

Date (in MM/DD/YYYY format) the operator ceased employment with the company. It must be the current system date or earlier. This field is optional.

Status

Operator’s status. Optional free-format area.

Receives taxable benefits

If this field has a check, the operator receives taxable benefits. This field is for information only.

Active

If this field has a check, the operator is active. If this field is blank, the operator is inactive.

Note: Inactive operators are not listed in operator ID choice lists and may not be assigned to equipment units or motor pool reservations.
You may not inactivate an operator that is assigned to an equipment unit.

Supports all departments

If this field has a check, the operator supports all departments.

Use this screen group to specify which departments the operator supports.

Delete

To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.

Department ID

Identifier of the department that the operator supports. This field has a list box.

Name

Name of the department. This field is display only. Populates automatically when a department ID is specified.

Assigned equipment ID

Identifier of the equipment that the operator is assigned to operate. This field has a zoom button to the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.

Information displays in this field only if there is a check in the Restrict operator assignment to one equipment ID at a time field on the Operator Assignment tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Options screen. Descriptive information for the equipment unit displays to the right of the ID. This field is display only.

Tip: You can set a zoom button for this field to detect the type of equipment and display the appropriate screen. If you used Administrator Mode to add a zoom button, you will need to use it again to remove your user-defined zoom button for this functionality to work.
