Add New Part Wizard |
The Add New Part wizard enables you to enter new parts and initiate inventory at stocking locations in one step instead of using three separate screens.
To activate the wizard:
Step 1. Access the Data -> Setup -> Options screen and click the Edit Criteria - General tab.
Step 2. Click the Configure external modules button.
The Available Modules dialog box appears.
Step 3. Click the Fleet Wizards field (to select it) and then click Next.
The Fleet Wizards -- Available Services dialog box appears.
Step 4. Click the New Inventory Part field (to select it) and then click Next.
The dialog box closes and the selected wizard is activated.
To create a basic part record using the wizard:
Step 1. Access the Data -> Parts Items -> Primary Information screen and click the Basic Info tab.
Step 2. Click the New part/location/inventory button.
The Add New Part Wizard -- Welcome dialog box appears.
Step 3. Read the explanatory text and then click Next.
