PM credit


Preventive maintenance (PM) credit is the process of determining whether a PM service is eligible for a credit extension and then applying the extension. When a credit is applied, the due date for a scheduled PM service or inspection is extended.

PM services are sometimes set up and scheduled on the assumption that an equipment unit will be in service for a certain number of days before a PM service is performed. To support this, FASuite tracks the number of days that an equipment unit is out of service. An equipment unit's PM service becomes eligible for PM credit when the number of days out of service is greater than the value in the Extend date due if __ days out of service field on the PM/Inspection Detail tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Class -> Primary Information screen. Users can then opt to apply the days out of service to the PM schedule date, thereby extending it.
