Backlog calculations


Backlog is calculated as follows:

The estimated number of hours on open work orders are computed using the estimated hours for each work order on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen.

If the Estimated hours field does not contain a value, either the standard labor hours for the type of preventive maintenance (PM) service (for PM orders) or the total standard labor hours for all task codes (on repair work orders) is used.

If no standard labor hours value is defined for a PM service or repair task code for an equipment class, the computed hours for that service or task is zero. In this case, the work order is not considered when backlog is calculated.
