Depending on the inventory method, the following entries are changed from the merged part to the surviving part:

• adjustments

• fluid types

• kits

• cannibalized parts

• purchase order line items

• receipts

• issues

• orders by vendor

• transfers

• warranty claims

• parts waiting to be ordered

• reference parts

• cross-reference parts

• inventory month

• stock status

• manufacturer name

• manufacturer part number

• keyword

• product category ID

If a part exists at a location for the part ID and suffix being merged but does not exist at the location for the surviving part ID and suffix, the part ID and suffix for the location are renumbered as the surviving part ID and suffix to retain all the settings from the old part ID and suffix.
