Service level agreement

Service commitment between fleet management and the customers (departments) that own or use equipment. The application can monitor and report on the performance of these agreements to facilitate comparisons between goals and actual performance.

A service level agreement may be defined as a combination of location and equipment category; department and equipment category; or location, department, and equipment category.

Example: A rail property uses availability location ID to create individual requirements for each terminal along a line, and uses department ID to build a separate set of requirements for the line as a whole.
