Wildcard or partial value |
You can use a wildcard character or a partial value to restrict the data that is retrieved and displayed. A wildcard character takes the place of one or more characters in a search string.
To limit the display to:
A single character, type the character.
Any character in a particular position, type an underscore (_).
Any string of characters of any length in a particular position (including an empty string), type a percent sign (%).
You may also use the _ and % characters together in any combination. For example, a search for maintenance class %BUS%-_ _ will return records for maintenance class FIXED BUS-91 and BUS-PARA-03.
To limit a display to equipment units that start with F00, have asset numbers that end with 01, and serial numbers that contain 1X05:
