The Comments tab for reimbursement claims enables you to view, add, change, and delete comments about a claim.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on claim ID, claim type, work order location/ID/year, part ID/suffix, vendor ID, and task ID, among other values.
You can use comments to describe the equipment operator’s complaints about the unit, the service writer’s diagnosis of what needs to be done, the technicians’ comments about the work performed, or conversations you had with the vendor.
The field in the top section of this tab defaults from information entered on the Claim Data tab. It is display only.
Claim ID
Identifier of the selected claim.
The bottom section of the tab is a text box for comments, which are optional.
Tip: If part or core warranty claims are automatically generated by posting from the Data -> Shop Activity -> Parts Issues and Returns screen, any comments from the ptd_main.comment area for the row display in the Comments field. If a part posting generates both a core and a part warranty claim, the ptd_main.comment_area display in the Comments field. The field may be edited.
