Security Options


The Security Options tab enables you to manage login features. You can set rules regarding user passwords and disable user logins. The rules regarding passwords are applied only when a new one is being assigned or an existing one is being changed.

Detail View Header

User ID

Unique identifier of the user currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. This field has a list box. If the ID already exists, the name displays next to the ID. Maximum field length is 50 characters.

Detail View

The fields in the bottom section of the tab provide information about the user password and login. All fields are optional.

Date and time password was last changed

Date and time that the password was last changed (in MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM format). This field is display only.

Date and time of last login

Last date and time that the user logged in to the system (in MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM format). This field is display only.

User must change password at next login

If this field has a check, the user must change his or her password the next time that he or she logs in. If the rules regarding passwords have changed and you want to ensure that all existing user passwords are in compliance, check this box.

Requires external authentication

If this field has a check, external authentication is required; single sign-on users may not log in through normal authentication means (e.g., manually enter the user ID and password through the graphical user interface [GUI]). Increases security when using single sign-on with FA Web Modules.

Password never expires

If this field has a check, the user password never expires.

Login is disabled

If this field has a check, the user login is disabled.

Reason

Text field in which you can type the reason the user's login was disabled. The maximum field length is 60 characters.

Mobile user

If this field has a check and you have licensed MobileFocus, the user is authorized to use MobileFocus.

PIN

Enter a pin number for use with mobile applications.
