Attributes (Employees) |
The Attributes tab enables you to associate attributes with an employee. Examples of attributes include clothing sizes, such as shoe or uniform, and the employee's Manager's email.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on emplyoee ID and name.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Employee ID
Unique identifier of the employee currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. If the ID already exists, the employee name displays to the right of the ID. This field has a list box.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab provide information about each attribute.
This screen group is editable. Records can be added, edited, or removed directly which will then create, modify, or remove associated records on the User Attributes screen.
Delete
If this field has a check, the entire row is deleted when you click Save.
Attribute ID
Identifier of the attribute. This field has a list box. This field is required.
Employee attributes are defined on the User Attributes screen.
Name
Name of the attribute. This field auto-populates based on the attribute ID. This field is display only.
Text value
Free-form text description of the attribute, such as "NET 30". The maximum field length is 30 characters. This field is optional.
Numeric value
Numeric value associated with the attribute, such as "10.0000". The maximum number of decimal places is four. Optional.
Date and Time value
Date (in MM/DD/YYYY format) associated with the attribute. Use it to track additional data that you may need. This field is optional.
Comments
Free-form text field in which you can type comments regarding the attribute. The maximum field length is 60 characters. This field is optional.
Path and file name
Free-form text field in which you can type the path and file name for data associated with the attribute. The maximum field length is 100 characters. This field has a file launch button
