Equipment Count


The Equipment Count tab displays a current count of active fleet equipment, rail equipment, stationary equipment, components, and linear assets. It also displays the maximum number of each entity that your license agreement allows you to insert into the software.

Data in the fields in the Equipment unit setup options section of this tab display the counts. All fields are display only.

Current count of active fleet equipment units

Number of fleet equipment units with a life-cycle status code ID that has a check in the Status denotes that unit is active field on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Life-Cycle Status Codes screen.

The software is licensed to organizations for only a specific number of units. If the number in this field is close to or approaching the number in the Licensed count of active fleet equipment units field, take the following actions.

Step 1.   Verify that retired or disposed units do not have a life-cycle status code ID that has a check in the Status denotes that unit is active field.

Step 2.   Verify that items such as compressors or generators are defined as components rather than equipment units. Components are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Components -> Primary Information screen.

Step 3.   Request that your organization purchase more licenses.

Licensed count of active fleet equipment units

Current count of active rail equipment units

Number of rail equipment units with a life-cycle status code ID that has a check in the Status denotes unit is active field on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Life-Cycle Status Codes screen.
