Usage - Trips |
The Trips screen enables you to display and define IDs for trips that vehicles make on a regular basis. To record information about the trips and increment the meter usage accumulated on them, use to the Usage tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Usage -> Meter Readings - Assignments - Usage screen.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Trip ID
Identifier of the trip currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is 15 characters. This field has a list box. If the ID already exists, the trip's description displays to the right of the ID. This field is required.
Note: Trip IDs assigned to a usage ticket may not be deleted.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define the trip information. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Description
Description of the trip. Free-format area.
Total meter traveled
Number of meter units traveled on the trip. Sum of all meter between stop values provided in the Stops screen group. This field is display only.
Effective date
Beginning date (in MM/DD/YYYY format) of the trip ID. Required if an expiration date is provided; otherwise, optional.
Expiration date
Date (in MM/DD/YYYY format) that the trip ID expires. Must be later than the date in the Effective date field. Required if an effective date is provided; otherwise, optional.
The following fields, presented in the Stops screen group, provide information about the stops made during the trip.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Description
Description of the stop. Free-format area. Maximum field length is 30 characters.
Meter traveled between stops
Number of meter units acquired on the equipment unit between the last stop and this stop. This field is display only.
