Rules of motor pool availability |
The software considers an equipment unit available to meet a reservation’s requirements if all of the following conditions are met:
On the Assignments tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen, the equipment unit is assigned to a department that has a check (ü) in the Motor pool field on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Departments -> Primary Information screen and meets all other requirements for being assigned to a motor pool.
The equipment unit’s pool vehicle type (specified on the Motor Pool tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen) is the same as the type requested in the reservation’s Pool vehicle type for availability field on the Vehicle Requirements tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Motor Pool -> Motor Pool Center screen.
The equipment unit’s motor pool dispatch location ID (specified on the Motor Pool tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen) is the same as the dispatch location ID requested for the reservation on the Status/Other Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Motor Pool -> Motor Pool Center screen.
The equipment unit’s motor pool dispatch status (specified on the Motor Pool tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen) is IN.
Any equipment that is on an OPEN work order is excluded from the drop-down list unless the work order's service status has "Equipment available for motor pool dispatch if open work order exists with this status" is set to Y.
The Status tab on the Data -> Equipment Unit -> Fleet Equipment screen specifies a life-cycle status code ID that has a check (ü) in the Status denotes that unit is active field on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Life-Cycle Status Codes screen.
Only Equipment IDs that are allowed for usage tickets are displayed. Asset primary screens -> Authorization tab -> "Usage tickets". This restriction is in place due to reservations creating usage tickets based on the reservation charges.
Other reservations that have a status set to COMMITTED and have over-lapping "Date and time required" and "Date and time expected returned" with the reservation will have the Equipment ID set on the Dispatch tab not included in the choice-list.
