The format for dates is specified in the shortcut for the icon or menu item that you use to open the application. If you do not specify a date and time format in the shortcut, the application uses the date format set for the workstation’s operating system. See Specify parameters in the shortcut.

Leading zeros are required for single digit month or day entries. After you type the month and day in the appropriate portions of any non-display only Date field, the year displays in four digits, CCYY, where CC is the century and YY is the year. You can change the information that displays.
