Minimal level of inventory that a company seeks to have on hand at all times to protect against fluctuations in demand and/or supply.

• In FASuite 5.8 and prior releases, safety stock level is specified on the EOQ tab of the Data -> Parts Items -> Location Information screen.

• In FASuite 6.0 and subsequent releases, safety stock level is specified on the Replenishment tab of the Data -> Parts Items -> Location Information screen.
