Serialized part rebuilds |
If you are rebuilding a serialized part that is being tracked as a component on one of the work order screens and the associated serialized part record has a status of either AWAITING REBUILD or AWAITING DISPOSITION, FASuite will treat the repair work order as an internal rebuild work order and perform the applicable validations and processing.
If part status is being tracked and you insert a work order for a component tracked as a serialized part:
Stock on hand and value on hand are deducted from core-awaiting rebuild inventory of the default part repair location.
Part suffix changes to AWAITING REBUILD
If part status is being tracked and you close a work order for a component tracked as serialized part:
Stock on hand and value on hand are added to rebuilt inventory of the default part inventory location.
Core value and all labor, parts, and commercial charges are posted to work order.
Part status changes to IN STOCK
Note: Part status tracking is in effect if there is a check (ΓΌ) in the Enable part status tracking field on the Part Status Tracking tab on the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen.
If part status is not being tracked and you insert a work order for a component tracked as a serialized part:
Stock on hand and value on hand are deducted from core-awaiting rebuild inventory of the default part repair location.
If part status is not being tracked and you close a work order for a component tracked as a serialized part.
