Attributes |
The Attributes tab enables you to assign attributes to incidents.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on incident ID, type, status, equipment ID, symptom, responsibility, a range of occurred dates and reported dates, and trip ID, among other values.
The fields in the top section of the Attributes tab display the incident ID, the name of the user who recorded the incident, and the incident type. These fields are display only.
Incident ID
System-assigned identifier for the incident.
Entered by
Identifier of the user who initially entered the incident. The user's name displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
View details
This incident management screen displays all types of incidents. To view details specific to an incident that has a type other than INCIDENT, click the View details button. The appropriate incident screen will appear. For example, if the incident type is UNUSUAL OCC, you can click the View details button to access the Data -> Incident Management -> Unusual Occurrences screen for the incident.
Incident type
Overall category for the incident. The field has a list box:
INCIDENT -- default
DELAY
UNUSUAL OC
ACCIDENT
INJURY
ALARM
The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to provide more information about the attribute. All fields are optional.
Delete
If this field has a check, the entire row is deleted when you click Save.
Incident attribute ID
Identifier of the attribute. This field has a list box. Incident attributes are defined on the Data -> Incident Management -> Setup -> Attributes screen.
Attribute name
Name of the attribute. This field auto-populates after you specify an incident attribute ID. This field is display only.
Text value
Text value associated with the attribute. Maximum field length is 30 characters.
Numeric value
Numeric value associated with the attribute. Maximum field length is 8 characters.
Date and time value
Date and time in MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM format. Use it to track additional data that you may need.
Comments
Free-form text field in which you can enter comments regarding the attribute. Maximum field length is 60 characters.
Path and file name
Navigation path and name of the electronic file (e.g., digital pictures, text documents, scanned forms) associated with the attribute. Maximum field length is 255 characters. This field has a file launch button .
