Reporting |
The Reporting tab enables you to specify the types of reports that were filed regarding the incident.
Note: If an incident is closed, it cannot be modified. You must change the status to something other than CLOSED before you can modify the data.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on incident ID, type, status, equipment ID, symptom, responsibility, a range of occurred dates and reported dates, and trip ID, among other values.
The fields in the top section of the Reporting tab display the incident ID, the name of the user who recorded the incident, and the incident type. These fields are display only.
Incident ID
System-assigned identifier for the incident.
Entered by
Identifier of the user who initially entered the incident. The user's name displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
View details
This incident management screen displays all types of incidents. To view details specific to an incident that has a type other than INCIDENT, click the View details button. The appropriate incident screen will appear. For example, if the incident type is UNUSUAL OCC, you can click the View details button to access the Data -> Incident Management -> Unusual Occurrences screen for the incident.
Incident type
Overall category for the incident. This field has a list box:
INCIDENT -- default
DELAY
UNUSUAL OC
ACCIDENT
INJURY
ALARM
The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to specify the reporting activities regarding the accident. All fields are optional.
Employee ID
Identification number of the employee who submitted the reports. This field has a list box. The employee's name displays in the unlabeled field to the right. (Employee IDs are assigned on the Personal Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Employees -> Primary Information screen.)
Phone
Employee's area code and telephone number. Maximum field length is 30 characters.
Comments
Free-form text field in which you can type comments.
FRA report
If this field has a check, then a report was submitted to the Federal Railroad Administration. The unlabeled date field to the right auto-populates with the current date.
FTA report
If this field has a check, then a report was submitted to the Federal Transit Administration. The unlabeled date field to the right auto-populates with the current date.
Unusual occurrences report
If this field has a check, then an Unusual Occurrences report was submitted. The unlabeled date field to the right auto-populates with the current date.
Damage estimate report
If this field has a check, then a Damage Estimate report was submitted. The unlabeled date field to the right auto-populates with the current date.
OSHA report
If this field has a check, then a report was submitted to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. The unlabeled date field to the right auto-populates with the current date.
Closed
If this field has a check, then the reporting process is closed. The unlabeled date field to the right auto-populates with the current date.
