Causes |
The Causes screen enables you to define incident cause IDs and specify the incident type (or types) to which they apply. The information specified on this screen is used in choice lists on other incident management screens, such as the Delays or Injuries screen.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Cause ID
Identifier of the incident cause that you are defining or that is currently displayed in the grid. This field is required, and the cause must be unique. The maximum field length is 20 characters. This field has a list box.
If the name already exists, its description displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
The bottom section of the tab enables you to describe the cause and specify the incident type (or types) to which it applies. The fields are optional.
Description
Description of the cause. The maximum field length is 30 characters.
Applies to incidents of type
Delay: If this field has a check, the delay cause is associated with incidents involving delays. It will be listed in choice lists on incident management screens pertaining to delays.
Injuries: If this field has a check, the delay cause is associated with incidents involving injuries. It will be listed in choice lists on incident management screens pertaining to injuries.
Accidents: If this field has a check, the delay cause is associated with incidents involving accidents. It will be listed in choice lists on incident management screens pertaining to accidents.
