Status of CANCELED

A reservation that had been confirmed or standby was canceled by the customer. The vehicle has been returned to the Available list. You can cancel a reservation that has one of the following statuses:

CONFIRMED
COMMITTED
DISPATCHED

Note: When cancelling a reservation that has an existing status of DISPATCHED, the following workflow occurs:

The user selects cancel.
The system changes the reservation status from DISPATCHED to CONFIRMED.
The system clears the dispatch date, equipment ID, Meter 1 validation, and license number values for the reservation.
The system sets the Meter 1 reading to 0 (default value).
The system changes the reservation status from CONFIRMED to CANCELLED.
A cancellation message will display to the user that the reservation has been canceled.

To cancel a reservation you just inserted, press .

The Rental Rates tab on the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Motor Pool -> Setup -> Pool Vehicle Types screen specifies whether there is a charge for cancellations. Cancellations are charged as of the date of cancellation.
