The Notes tab enables you to record notes regarding a shift. Note text is date-, time-, and user ID-stamped and cannot be edited once it has been saved.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on employee ID and shift date and time.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Employee ID
Identifier of the employee. Defaults to the employee ID associated with the logged-in user ID, but you can change it. This field has a list box. The employee name displays in the unlabeled field to the right. This field is required.
Employee IDs are associated with user IDs on the Basic Info tab of the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Users screen.
The Add a new note field in the bottom section of the tab enables you to type notes regarding the shift. After you click Save, the notes you typed display in the unlabeled field above the Add a new note field. The note is automatically stamped with the user ID, user name, and date and time entered.
