If the Operations module is installed, you can use the screens on the Operations menu to define the routes and schedules that comprise your transit system, manage the trains that deliver service, and track performance. Using the Schedules, Equipment Cycles, and Trips screens, you can establish and track detailed information about the trips that your organization manages.
The Operations menu provides access to the following screens:
Dispatch trips
Define information about shifts and pass information between staff members when a new shift begins
Specify replacement crew members for a specified time frame
Record details about trips, including train number and date, arrival and departure times and stops, status, equipment used, crews, and passengers
Create schedules and assign crews
Define and modify equipment cycles
Input passenger counts for a selected route and date
Track freight trains that travel over commuter rail lines
Set up transit operations (railroad, subway, and light rail) and define management options
