Spareboard |
The Spareboard screen enables you to identify temporary employee assignments for crew runs. These assignments are used in the event of an employee illness or vacation. Because a spareboard is temporary, start and discontinue dates are required.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Crew run ID
Identifier of the crew run. This field has a list box. The description displays to the right of the ID. This field is required.
Crew run IDs are defined on the Data -> Operations -> Setup -> Crew Runs screen.
The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to provide details about the temporary assignment. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Employee ID
Identifier of the employee. Must be a valid, active employee whose location and occupation match those of the employee being replaced. This field has a list box. The employee name displays to the right of the ID.
Employee IDs are assigned on the Personal Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Employees -> Primary Information screen.
Note: An employee ID cannot be assigned to overlapping spareboards.
Start date
Date (in MMDDYYYY format) that the substitution begins.
Discontinue date
Date (in MMDDYYYY format) that the substitution ends. Optional, but must be later than the start date.
Note: If entered, the start date and discontinue date range cannot overlap another spareboard entry with same crew run ID. The date range must also be within the date range of the crew run ID.
Location ID
Identifier of the location. This field has a list box. The location description displays to the right of the ID. Optional, but must be a valid operations location if entered.
Location IDs are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen. Location functions are designated on the Functions tab of that screen.
