Roll-ups


The Roll-ups tab for locations enables you to display and record locations' hierarchical types and associate them with higher-level locations to which they roll-up for reporting purposes. For example, a shop location may have a hierarchical location type of BASE and roll-up to HIGHER-LEVEL regional or national locations for reporting purposes.

The first 100,000 characters of the tree display, and a message displays if the entire tree could not be displayed. 

Detail Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Location ID

Identifier of the location currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. The location name displays to the right of the ID. This field has a list box.

Detail View

Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define the location's hierarchical position in the organization. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are optional.

Higher-level locations -- first row is the immediate parent for this location Screen Group Date Table

The Higher-level locations -- first row is the immediate parent for this location screen group displays the location IDs to which the location rolls-up for reporting purposes. The first entry is the immediate parent location of the specified location. Any additional locations are parent locations at tree levels above the specified location. The display is similar to the component relationship tree for attached equipment units.

Display location hierarchy

If this field has a check , the hierarchical tree displays all the associated location IDs. Otherwise, they are hidden. the first 100,000 characters of the tree display and you are notified if the entire tree cannot be displayed.

Location type

Type of hierarchy for the location. This field has a list box.

New immediate parent location

Identifier of the parent location. This field has a list box. The parent description displays beneath the field.
