Labels |
The Labels tab enables you to define how parts labels are printed.
Data in the fields the Parts options section of this tab specifies how labels are printed. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Print receipt labels
If this field has a check, part receipt labels are printed for all parts you receive into inventory. You should dedicate one label printer in each parts location to the labels, and make sure it has labels in it at all times.
You must specify the number of print lines for the labels in the Number of print lines for receipt labels field.
Number of print lines for receipt labels
Number of print lines that will fit on one part receipt label (at six lines per inch of label height).This number is used to determine vertical label spacing. If you print bar codes, the value in this field must be 12 or more; if you do not print bar codes, this value must be 3 or greater. To use bar codes, the optional Bar Code Module must be installed.
Number of print lines for bin labels
Number of print lines that will fit on one part bin label (at six lines per inch of label height).This number is used to determine vertical label spacing.
If you print bar codes, the labels must be able to hold seven or more lines and this value must be 7 or greater. If you do not print bar codes, the labels must hold three or more lines and this value must be 3 or greater.
Track history of labels printed
If this field has a check, users can track the history of labels printed.
