The current meter 1 or meter 2 reading for the unit on the Equipment Master (EQ_MAIN) table are updated only if all of the following conditions are met:

• The ticket is not a reversal

• There is a value in either the Meter reading 1 or the Meter reading 2 field

• The meter reading can be validated (refer to meter validation fields)

• The date the meter reading was taken is not less than the date of the last meter reading for the unit

In addition to these conditions, one of the following conditions must also be true:

• The Meter 1 or Meter 2 validation field specifies EQ UPD and the meter reading is not within the edit range

• The Meter 1 or Meter 2 validation field specifies NO EQ UPD and the meter reading is within the edit range
