Messages |
The Messages tab displays messages regarding tasks. If there is a message, the tab is highlighted.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on run ID, location ID, run description, and start/end date and time.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that the software displays.
Run ID
Numerical identifier that the system assigns to each upload. This field is display only. The run description displays to the right of the ID.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab display information about the task and its associated messages. All fields are display only.
Task number
The system's number for the task.
WO location
Identifier of the shop location assigned to the work order.
-year
Year the work order was opened.
-number
Work order number. For indirect labor, it is blank.
Equipment ID
Identifier of the equipment unit.
Task ID
Identifier of the task that describes the work.
Task IDs are defined on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen.
Reason
Explanation of why the task was not scheduled. This field is display only.
Message
The explanatory message, if any, associated with the part. The messages (and their explanations) are as follows:
The shop is out of parts (quantity of parts on hand and parts on order are both zero).
The task is out of parts (parts on hand and parts on order are less than required quantity for task).
Attention on parts (all other problems associated with parts).
[item number] is required for task (part is required, but the work order is not related to a part order).
Insufficient inventory but currently on order (quantity on hand is less than quantity required; parts are on order).
[task ID] not scheduled due to parts (a higher-priority task used all the available parts).
