Tasks - Primary Information |
The Tasks - Primary Information screen for tasks enables you to display and define the organization’s repair and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks. For each task, the system tracks basic and procedure information and the related component to which the task pertains.
Note: When deleting a task, the system will display an error and not allow the task to be deleted if the task is currently being used on a work order, or by an employee charging labor to the task.

Identifying information about tasks, including their task ID, description, type, and specifications about inventory rebuilds and comebacks; set default priority ID
Procedures necessary to perform the task
Equipment components associated with the task ID for which component warranties are tracked
Restrict task IDs by asset category
Restrict task IDs by product category
Restrict task IDs by location and vendor
Restrict task IDs by work accomplished code
Default values for complaint, cause, and correction (3C) data for service requests
