Failure/Cause Codes |
The Failure/Cause Codes screen enables you to display and define codes (IDs) for the reasons that parts need replacement because of failure. Parts failure/cause codes enable you to:
Identify why parts get replaced (allow you to check for defective parts, incorrect installations, etc.)
Record the reason for a part failure (often required for parts warranty recovery)
See failure codes for a list of predefined codes.

Create failure/cause code identifiers; specify which symptoms the failure/cause code supports
Associate manufacturer symptom or complaint IDs with failure/cause codes; specify whether a failure/cause code applies to all symptoms or just specific ones
Indicate whether a failure/cause code supports all asset categories or only specific asset categories
