Basic Info |
The Basic Info tab enables you to display and define codes (identifiers) for shop priorities.
The field in the top section of this tab reflects the data selected in the grid.
Priority ID
Identifier of the priority currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. This field has a choice list. The description displays to the right of the ID. You may not delete a priority code that is in use on a task.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define basic information about the priority ID. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Description
Text description of the priority code. Maximum field length is 30 characters. If a description already exists, it displays to the right of the ID. This field is optional.
Note: This description displays in priority code choice lists and on screens that reference priority codes.
Priority rank
Relative and unique rank of this priority ID among all priority IDs. The numbers need not be consecutive; only their ranking order is important.
Priority category
Category of the priority. This field has a choice list:
OUT OF SERVICE
INTERNAL SHOP PRIORITY
AVAILABLE FOR PM
DEFERRED MAINTENANCE
WARRANTY
Time unit
This is a two-part field. The first part is the number of expected time units (specified on the right) between the start of a task of this priority and its completion. The second part is the measurement of time to use for the time period. The second part of this field has a choice list.
This time unit is used to compute the value for the Date and time due field for the work order on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen. The time unit is added to the value in the Date and time in field.
