Employee Classifications |
The Employee Classifications screen enables you to determine an employee's overtime time code and indicate whether time sheets were generated for the employee.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on classification ID, overtime time code ID, generate timesheet checkbox, and holiday time code ID.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Classification ID
Identifier of the employee classification currently selected in the grid or that you are inserting (opening). This field has a list box. May not be deleted if currently in use on an employee record. Maximum field length is 40 characters.
Data in the fields on the bottom section of this tab provide more information about the classification. All fields are optional.
Description
Text description of the classification. Maximum field length is 60 characters.
Overtime time code ID
Identifier of the overtime time code. Used in time sheet functionality. This field has a list box. The description displays to the right of the ID. If entered, must be valid and active.
Holiday time code ID
Identifier of the holiday time code. This field has a list box. The description displays to the right of the ID. If entered, must be valid and active.
Generate timesheet
If this field has a check, a time sheet was generated. Used in time sheet functionality.
If there is no time sheet for the employee on the specified start day of the time period, one is generated automatically.
Employees can only work on assigned tasks
Employees with this option enabled will only be able to job onto tasks that they have either been assigned to or if they belong to a crew that has been assigned to the task. This option will prevent an employee from jobbing onto a multi-asset work order if the employee has not been assigned to the multi-asset work order. This option will not prevent employees from jobbing onto INDIRECT or GENERAL tasks as these types of tasks do not have work assignments.
Work hours per day
This field allows users to enter a 0 or greater number to track work hours per day.

This field allows users to enter a 0 or greater number to track work hours per week.
The Time Codes tab allows time codes to be specified by Employee's Primary, Classification, Employee's list of Classifications, and labor postings, or to include all time codes by selecting the Supports all time codes check box.

The supported time codes screen allows the user to enter in specific time codes or delete a time code line. This field has a list box. The description displays to the right of the Time code ID.
