Work Classes |
The Work Classes screen enables you to display and define classes of work that you can associate with work orders or tasks.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Work class
Work class. This field has a choice list. The system includes the following predefined work classes:
1 scheduled
2 non-scheduled
3 emergency
4 road call
5 special issue accumulation
If the class is already defined, the description displays to the right of the field.
You can use the Special Items tab on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Options screen to identify special work classes that should be assigned to work orders for multi-unit projects and work orders opened with hand-held devices. This feature enables you to sort work orders and tasks by work class so that you can identify existing and historical work of a particular type.
Description
A text description of the work class. Maximum field length is 30 characters.
Unscheduled
If this field has a check , the work is unscheduled. Defaults to checked for non-scheduled, emergency, and road call work classes, if they exist.
