Users |
The Users tab enables you to add and remove users from chat groups.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. User IDs, user names, user nicknames, group names, and group types may be entered in mixed case, so you must filter on the correct case to retrieve the records you want. For example, filtering on MY GROUP will not return My Group, but filtering on M% will include My Group in the search results. User IDs created using the web interface may be in mixed case, but user IDs created using the GUI must be in all capital letters because that's the only format the GUI supports.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Chat group ID
Identifier of the chat group.
The fields in the screen group in the bottom section of this tab enable you to add and remove users from chat groups.
Delete
If this field has a check, the fields to the right are deleted when you click Save.
User ID
Identifier of the user. If the product is EAM, user ID is required and must exist in the system. This field has a list box.
Note: If you are setting up personal groups through the web interface, you may create user IDs in mixed case (e.g., User1, user1). If you are an administrator setting up public groups on this screen, however, you should create user IDs in all capital letters (e.g., USER1). The GUI only supports user IDs in all capital letters.
User IDs are defined on the Basic Info tab of the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Users screen.
User name
Name of the user. Auto-populates after a user ID is entered. User names may be entered in mixed case.
