Custom List Values

The Custom List Values screen enables you to define a custom list of values for a text field. The custom list replaces the user having to type a value in a field. Users select a value from a drop-down list instead. To filter the drop-down list, type a few characters into the field. The choice-list will be limited to only values that started with the keyed in values.

You can name a list whatever makes sense to your business. For example, if you are using a miscellaneous text field on the Motor Pool Center screen as your project ID, you would define a list type of project ID. Insert as many values for each list type as are required, and then use Administrator Mode to associate a list type with a text field on a screen.
