Vendor Task

This screen enables you to create and manage tasks that a vendor is authorized to perform. When you post commercial work to a vendor/task combination, the warranty period information is recorded. If commercial work is posted to that same vendor/task combination within the warranty period, the equipment unit is automatically flagged as failed under warranty and a warranty claim is generated, depending on the location options. The option that drives the use of this screen (when information is entered that match the above use-cases) is the Automatically create warranty claims when post commercial task under vendor warranty option on the Locations Primary Information screen, Work Orders - More Info tab. When this option is checked and commercial work is posted to a vendor/task combination, the system creates a reimbursement claim.
