Fault Codes |
The Fault Codes screen enables you to define, copy , update or delete asset fault codes by equipment type.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that the application displays.
Fault code
This field has a list box where you can select an existing fault code to edit or define a new code by entering data in the field.
Fault unique ID
The unique ID automatically assigned to the fault code.
Equipment type
This field has a list box where you can select the equipment type to which the fault code will be associated. Clicking the search icon launches the Equipment Types screen where you can define a new equipment type. This field is required and must be a valid and active equipment type if the fault codes is active.
The fields in the bottom section of this tab enable you to specify fault code details.
Name
Name of the fault code. This is a free-form field that is required. It automatically displays if editing an existing fault code.
Description
Description of the fault code. This is a free-form field that automatically displays if editing an existing fault code.
Source type
List box that allows you to select the source type for the fault code. A new source type can be defined by entering data into this field.
Procedure
Free-form area that allows you to define the procedure associated with the fault code. Fault code procedure history changes can be tracked in this table.
Active
Check this box to indicate that the fault code is active.
Data in the Comments field in the bottom section of this tab contains comments about the fault code. It is an optional, free-format area.
The Files tab enables you to view and insert links to files associated with the fault code. The following lists the columns available in this table.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Path and file name
Navigation path and file name of the data file associated
with the plan. This is useful if you want to associate a document with
the fault code. The field allows both uppercase and lowercase letters
to support operating systems that are case-sensitive. This field has a
file launch button .
Description
Description of the data file.
This tab allows you to view and enter notes relating to the fault code.
Notes Field
In this field you can see previous notes entered for this item.
Add a new note
New notes can be added in this field. Notes are added to the item when you click Save. It is an optional, free-form area.
